Akili Expands with Addition of Mobility Practice

September 20, 2011

Akili, a leading SAP Business Analytics and Technology partner, has added a mobility practice to its already robust enterprise performance management (EPM) and business intelligence (BI) practices. Akili’s mobility practice is a natural extension of their business analytics and technology focus, and shows their confidence that SAP’s mobile strategy with Sybase is unparalleled.

Recent data shows that consumer sales of PCs are falling and sales of tablets and smart phones are growing exponentially.  Enterprise PC demand remains relatively steady, due to routinely planned hardware replacements. However, the increasing demand for mobility devices and enterprise applications on mobile platforms, for both transactional and BI applications, dictates Akili’s strategy to offer mobility solutions for the enterprise.

Being productive anytime and anywhere on a mobile device is becoming an expectation for Akili’s clients. This expectation includes the need for a mobility strategy around corporate and individually owned device management, as well as porting existing applications on mobile devices, and developing applications for the mobile platform.  SAP’s Sybase Mobility solutions deliver a complete enterprise mobility stack that thoroughly integrates business processes, mobile platforms, development tools and popular mobile applications.

Akili’s practice expansion includes hiring a mobility architect, Jonathan Raspaud, who is expertly versed in BI and Enterprise Mobility solutions.

“Jonathan comes to Akili with robust leadership in BI and Mobility practice development,” said Shiek Shah, chief executive officer of Akili. “He established Hitachi’s Consulting Enterprise Mobility Center of Excellence and has been instrumental in driving strategic mobility initiatives with SAP and other mobility innovators.”

Prior to joining Akili, Mr. Raspaud was a key player in practice building, consultant training, solution customization, and sales for Hitachi Consulting. His technology knowledge encompasses BOBJ XI Enterprise Admin, Crystal Reports, Webi Reports, Xcelsius, Explorer, iPhone/iPad in Enterprise, Sybase Unwired Platform, Sybase Afaria, Microstrategy Mobile, Desktop Reports, Hyperion Interactive Reporting, Hyperion Dashboard Studio, Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle DBA.

Mr. Raspaud’s client engagements include AT&T, Kimberly-Clark, U.S. General Services Administration, Syngenta, Mary Kay, Southwest Airlines, DCP Midstream, and CrossTex.

Mr. Raspaud received a MS of Business Science in Management of Information Systems from the Graduate Business School at Grenoble University in Grenoble, France and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from a Computer Engineering School also in Grenoble, France.  He is also is a BusinessObjects XI Certified Professional.

Mr. Raspaud can be reached at jraspaud@akili.com or 214.978.3248.
