IRVING, TX March 31, 2008 - Akili, Inc., a Texas-based consultancy that specializes in enterprise performance management, has named Beth Van Duyne as vice president, marketing.
Former founder and principal of BCI Marketing Group, Ms. Van Duyne brings to Akili more than 15 years of experience in marketing, branding, communications, business development and competitive analysis. She has worked in a variety of industries targeting segments within the Consumer, Business and Wholesale markets.
"Her extensive experience in marketing combined with solid research, analytic and project management skills have enabled her to help clients identify and capitalize on growth opportunities through acquisition, partnership and new ventures," said Shiek Shah, principal and co-founder of Akili.
Ms. Van Duyne has led and enabled successful sales and marketing efforts in numerous organizations ranging in size from small, start-ups to Fortune 500 companies including Verizon, Dell and VHA. During her tenure with Verizon, she conducted in-depth assessments of strategic alliances and designed and implemented the Company's Competitive Landscape Database.
Married with two children, Ms. Van Duyne also has served as a member of the Irving (TX) City Council since 2004. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Cornell University.
