In every enterprise there are a finite number of business metrics that truly matter. Some are internal some are external. Some are leading some are lagging. While these metrics do not encompass the totality of the information required to make sound business decisions they do represent a critical element of that process. We begin by identifying the business metrics that truly matter to each client and then arrange to deliver those metrics to executive leadership in a fashion that is both intuitive and actionable.
Action without knowledge leads to mistakes. Knowledge without action leads nowhere. In the Internet age a firm’s capacity to act is often dependent on the quality and capabilities of that organization’s technology assets. We identify the systems related constraints to action and then work with our clients to eliminate those impediments – either by extending existing capabilities and/or by adding new capabilities.
The process is evolutionary not revolutionary. Accordingly, our business relationships tend to be long term and are founded on the mutual recognition that there are some aspects of the ongoing systems renewal process that are best performed by an outside agency - just as there are aspects that should always be performed internally.
While the “who does what” mix might vary from client to client and assignment to assignment the one thing that does not vary is that our client relationships are fundamentally based on trust. Our clients trust that we will always act in their best business interests. That type of trust is not given – it must be earned over time.
